I've set myself a blogging schedule too. Sunday is Weekend Writing Warriors, a blog hop featuring 8 sentences of a story. Tuesday or Wednesday is a short post about whatever I feel like, but hopefully pertaining to writing. And Thursday or Friday is something about books - a review, an author interview, an update on what I'm reading.

I don't know about Wordpress (I use Blogger), but I can link it to Google+ and Twitter, which links to Facebook. So when I update my blog, it goes out everywhere. When I post on FB (because that gets more exposure based on their stupid algorithms), it automatically shows up on Twitter. I try to post once a day for that, as well as check in a couple times a day and respond to other people's tweets/posts.

As for the writing, yeah, I procrastinate too. I've found for me though that if I have an actual deadline that I tell everyone about, I'm more accountable. For example, I have a book of short stories coming out Memorial Day weekend. I've put that all over my blog and writing site, and a bunch of people are expecting it then, so I have to get it done. Same with another book of short stories coming out around Christmas. If I say it's going to happen, it better happen, or I feel stupid and I don't like feeling stupid.

But finding the time to write is hard. I have the day job too, the kid with all his activities and attention-needing, and now grad school on top of that in a couple weeks. I've unhealthily dealt with this by weening myself off sleep, to the point I can get by on 5-6 hours and stay up late writing. Not the solution for everyone, but it works for me.

It's all about finding what works best for you and then sticking with it long enough to develop habits. Best of luck on whatever you decide!

(Also, I just found Duolit recently. They have a ton of great info which has been really helpful as I move to self-publish.)

Chris and Amanda and Family,
We are so sorry to hear of your loss! I think it is the hardest thing that one who loves a good buddy has to go through. It will take time, we know this for sure... but we wanted you to know we are thinking of all of you at this time.
Stay as STRONG as Rocky did :)
Love,
Judy & John

I loved Batman: The Animated Series! I thought it was an excellent point of view of hero. And I love Batman overall--I've been a fan since Adam West and Burt Ward. There is something very visceral about somebody who is willing to put their life on the line for the greater good. Plus, he bought kryptonite just in case Superman got stupid. That part is fantastic.

My daughter and I used to watch the Justice League cartoon as well (I was pretty sad they stopped making that one). I liked that the heroes didn't really like one another.

I'm gonna check out that book. Still, I think anybody who is perfectly fine with doing what Batman does is a little bit insane. He does struggle with where Batman ends and Bruce Wayne begins. He's not 100% and I think we have to accept that about this hero.
